On Tuesday, Larry Himmel came down to the Class 1 Streetcars. Here’s his story up above, via local CBS Channel 8. Thanks a lot to Larry and Channel 8!

Don’t forget we’ll be at the Calendar Antique Show at the Del Mar Fairgrounds this weekend. Come say hi and get an up-close look at a historic San Diego streetcar!

Look for a Class 1 Streetcar at the Calendar Antique Show

One of the San Diego Class 1 Streetcars will be visible for public viewing at the Calendar Antique Show. These historic streetcars, currently undergoing a process of restoration, have recently been seen in a number of local holiday parades and will now be a featured exhibit of the Calendar Antique Show at the Del Mar Fairgrounds from January 21st through January 23rd. Don’t miss this chance to get an up-close-and-personal look at these truly historic treasures from San Diego’s past and imagine what it would be like to have them providing public transportation for our city once again.

To get to the Calendar Antique Show, just exit the I-5 freeway at Via de la Valle, head west and enter at either the main gate on Jimmy Durante Blvd or the Solana Gate which is straight ahead on the left hand side of Via de la Valle.

Hope to see you all there!
